All Lappe's programs require membership in the Club. New athletes are assigned a personal coach based on the age, ability, commitment and compatabilty of athlete/coach. No additional fees are required.
Financially supported racing travel is approved by the coaching staff. The athlete (or family members) is expected to assist with a minimum number bingo events for travel funding.
Lappe has a long history of junior, senior and master skier racing success. Much of this is attributable to the principles by which we operate:
- The Club's coaches are strictly volunteer and are experienced at all levels of competition.
- Athletes must be members of the Lappe Nordic Ski Club.
- Lappe athletes and/or their families regularly volunteer at the Ski Centre with trail maintenance, event organization, timing races, etc.
- Athletes are assigned a personal coach compatible with their goals, skill and level of commitment.
- Athletes are expected to regularly attend group practices throughout the year, and advise their personal coach when they cannot.
- Athletes on the Junior Racing Team, and their coaches must sign the Club's agreement outlining their responsbilities.
